At the Limited trim level, the Ascent gains reverse automatic braking. Only the Touring gets a 180-degree front-view monitor to optimize your viewing perspective.


The 2021 Subaru Ascent is split into four trim levels: the base model, the slightly spruced-up Premium, the luxury-oriented Limited, and the top-level Touring.


The 2021 Ascent provides three rows of cloth-trimmed seats for a maximum occupancy of eight. Though, the Premium and Limited offer the choice of swapping the second-row bench-style seat with a pair of captain's seats to make them seven-seaters. (The Touring is a standard seven-seater.) The second- and third-row seats can be folded flat to expand cargo space to 86 cubic feet on the Touring and 86.5 cubic feet on the other three trims.

The Premium gains stain-resistant cloth seat trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, front-seat heating, and a power-adjustable driver's seat. The Limited gains leather seat trim and steering-wheel and second-row seat heating. Only the Touring has front-seat cooling.
