Do I Need An Oil Change?

Most vehicles need an oil change between 3,000 and 5,000 miles. The 3,000-mile interval has long been the standard, but engine and motor oil technology allow for many vehicles to travel as much as 10,000 miles before needing an oil change. Be sure to consult your owner's manual and speak with our service specialists to find the right interval for your driving habits and vehicle.

Some of the other signs that may indicate that you need an oil change include:

  • Irregular oil texture
  • Falling oil level
  • Excess vehicle exhaust
  • Increased engine noise
  • Check engine light

Do I Need New Tires?

You will need new tires if you have less than 2/32 of an inch of tread left, uneven tread, damage to your tires, or a seasonal change. You can check your tires' tread depth for yourself by placing a penny head-down into the groves around and across each tire. If the top of Lincoln's head is obscured, then you have at least 2/32 of an inch left.

You can also give your tires a visual inspection to look for any cracks, punctures, or irregularities. Our expert service center near Montana City can perform these inspections for you and catch any developing issues, prescribing the right service for you to get most out of your tires while driving safely.

Changing tires for winter is common. When it comes to taking on ice, sleet, and snow, all-season and summer tires don't compare to winter tires. Snow tires come with special siping for gripping ice and snow shedding tread. One of the most crucial aspects of snow tires its the rubber composition that retains is flexibility even in freezing conditions for optimized traction.

When Do I Change My Air Filter?

We recommend that you change your air filter between 15,000 and 30,000 miles. A clogged air filter makes it harder for your engine to breathe, impacting your vehicle's performance. If you drive on dusty roads often, your air filter may need to be replaced closer to 15,000 miles. Consult your owner's manual for more information.

Do I Need a New Fuel Filter?

Most manufacturers recommend replacing your oil filter every 30,000 miles. Making sure that your fuel filter is functioning properly is crucial for your engine's performance, and your engine could stop working altogether without a filter. Ask one of our technicians for a pressure test to determine the health of your filter and when it may need replacing.

Should I Replace My Brake Pads?

A good set of brake pads that are used in normal driving conditions can last you up to 50,000 miles. However, hard braking, towing, and more can affect how quickly your brakes wear. Watch for screeching, jittering, and spongy braking as indicators that you need new brake pads.
