As you're driving around Helena, you may see one or more warning lights illuminate on your dashboard. If you don't know what these warning lights mean, this situation could become nerve-wracking.
But it doesn't have to be! Read along to learn about some of the important warning lights that you could see light up on your Subaru's dashboard and what to do if that occurs.
Important Warning Lights
If these warning lights appear, you should take your Subaru to our service center as soon as possible to have your vehicle examine and repaired:
- ABS Warning Light: If you see this light, there is a problem with your Anti-Lock Braking System. You should immediately take your vehicle to our service center if this problem occurs, since the light being illuminated means this system is not functioning.
- AT OIL TEMP: In models with Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVT), this light will turn on should the transmission fluid become too hot. If this happens, immediately pull over and let the engine idle. After some time, the light should turn off.
- Icy Road Surface Warning Screen: This light looks like a road with a snowflake on top of it. If you see this light, then the temperature has dropped below 37 degrees Fahrenheit and the road surfaces you're driving on may be frozen. You may see this light often while driving in Helena Valley.
- LED Headlight Warning Light: If you see a light on your dashboard that looks like a headlight with an exclamation point on it, then that means that one or more of your headlights are malfunctioning. Pull over to check your headlights to see which one is not working and get them replaced as soon as possible.
If you see any of these lights, it's a good idea to take your Montana City Subaru to our service center in Helena to get your vehicle checked out by our expert staff.
